FLEA CONTROL IN CATS
Did you know that 95% of a cat’s flea population can live in your home? That’s because flea larvae and flea eggs can lie in carpets and furniture, waiting to re-infest. The life cycle of a flea is about 6 weeks from egg to larvae then pupae then adult flea.

Fleas are another very common parasite that affects both dogs and cats all year round. Flea eggs can remain dormant in the environment for months until the conditions are right for hatching.

KITTEN CARE

Vaccination
Kittens need to be vaccinated against feline enteritis and cat flu as an adult cat, he or she, will need to receive a yearly booster vaccination against these diseases.Your kitten has had the following vaccination to help protect it from these deadly diseases.

6 - 10 weeks: Feline Enteritis
6 - 10 weeks: Cat Flu

Worming
Kittens should be treated regularly with a gastrointestinal wormer, to prevent dangerous intestinal worms such as hookworm, roundworm, whipworm and tapeworm. If possible, weigh your kitten first as worming medications are given according to weight. We suggest "drontal". If your kitten or cat is a hunter of.~ frogs, lizards, moths etc, you will need to worm against the spirometra tapeworm also, you need to use an additional wormer for this as 'drontal' does not eradicate the spirometra tapeworm.

A KITTEN SHOULD BE WORMED:
FORTNIGHTLY UNTIL 12 WEEKS
MONTHLY UNTIL 4 MONTHS
THEN EVERY 3 MONTHS FOR LIFE

Food
Your kitten has been started on 'hills science diet kitten'. This is all your kitten needs each day apart from fresh water. You can give your kitten some treats and also paw chicken necks to help keep the teeth clean.

Desexing
